As a nationally-acclaimed and regional award-winning a cappella group, T Minus 5 is known for delivering a high-energy musical performance that combines contemporary pop, golden oldies, classic rock, a bit of country, and even elements of comedy.

"Road Trip" is the group's third album. It debuted at the Acappellastock Festival in Ogden, UT during the summer of 2007, a festival that the TM5 guys organized, I might add. These guys are professionals, no doubt, and their singing (and marketing) talents shine through on this CD.

Mixed by both Bill Hare and Tat Tong, the album is definitely spit and polished to a gleaming a cappella shine. Most of the arrangements on the album are done by the group themselves, but they get some nice variety from Eclipse's Patrick Rose (with "Mayberry") and even The Bobs' Richard Green (with "He Still Loves Me"). The song list ranges from classic rock favorites like "Low Rider" and "American Woman" to soft-rock gems like "I'll Still Be Loving You" and Barry Manilow's "One Voice." Though they've put out a Christian album in the past (2004's "Purity"), this one's pretty much secular in nature (although there's one lyrical change in "When I'm 64" that's so quick you'd miss it if you weren't paying close attention). "Show Me the Way" is the one truly sacred piece on the album - and it's really pretty, folks. These boys really CAN sing!
