I've been a Real Group fan for years, so it was a no-brainer to buy this DVD when I saw it at the a-cappella.com booth in Denver. The newer material on this 2006 release is even more layered and richly harmonic than their stuff from the '90s. The purity and blend of these five voices will absolutely blow you away. BTW, I had a chance to see the Real Group live in August, 2007 on the island of Gotland, Sweden, where they performed much of the same material, but with a different soprano possessing a richer, darker voice; I don't know if she's a replacement or a substitute. Their perfect harmonies and rhythmic drive are intact, I'm happy to report.
