Great piece, when you have capable low basses and 1st sopranos. Many repeated melodic and rhythmic patterns make it easier to teach. However, you must keep rhythm clean and accurate as you're teaching the song.

This piece is a challenge but once the choir gets a feel for the song they will love it. Don't be intimidated.

The first time I heard this song I cried, then the choir I was in did it. I was frustrated at first then I started to cry when it finally blended correctly. You will love it!!!

I listen to this song on my choirr teachers' links. I love it!! So dramatic and moving, but soothing in a way. It makes you shiver with fear and excitement!!! :)
