I sang this piece, a re-imagining of Lauridsen's already-popular SATB anthem, two years ago with the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. The interesting thing about it is that it isn't just a compressed version of the original; it's been reinvented for the peculiar sonority of the male vocal ensemble. There are many more root-position chords than in the SATB version, and the low basses routinely sing D's below the staff, giving the piece a wonderfully grounding feel. It's the familiar "O Magnum" but it's also not. I highly recommend it.
