This piece is one of a few that have convinced me that Eric Whitacre is a composer worth watching. His music features complex sonorities -- but is also approachable both to singers and audiences. This piece is both singable and effective -- and is a real treasure. Try it!

We are singing this very arrangement for Regional Choir this year. I adore this piece and Eric Whitacre is a genius. Definitely worth it!!!

I performed this at an Eric Whitacre convention in Las Vegas, Nevada with Eric. Never hearing it before, I was amazed as I was singing it for the first time. I love the contrast between the "shy" boy where the music is piano, and then you have the "extravagant" girl where the music is forte. It's truly an amazing feeling singing this song as well as listening to it. Thank You Eric Whitacre for doing what you love...

I performed this piece in high school and it took the breath out of the audience. This is just an amazing piece to sing and to listen to. I LOVE IT!
