This is a great begining piece for those who wish to
perform Moses Hogan's music. There are only two dynamics present in the song (forte and piano) and the rythmn is fairly simple (except for the middle part). This may be a little repetitive for those whose wish to do more advanced music though. True to the song description, the ending cord is in ten parts. Basses have many accents in the piece (being that they are the foundation, the will need to be strong and firmly establish themelves) and their lowest note isn't too hard (low F.) The Tenors' rythmn can get fairly complex at times and 1sts will need to strecth to hit their last note. Altos shouldn't have too hard of a time in this piece. With a few differences in rythmn and notes, their part is somewhat similar to the sopranos. 1st Sopranos will hold an "Oh" or "Yes" for a short time at various places throughout the song. The begining starts with the tenors by themsleves, then the altos, the the sopranos resolving. The basses come in at the chorus. Overall: "thumbs up."
