Not to bash the review from the website, and I understand the point they were trying to make in describing Whitacre's music (and it is a very good and valid point)... I just wanted to point out that Eric Whitacre is amazing, and fans of traditional choral music will not necessarily dislike his music. I am one of John Rutter's biggest fans, and I am actually in the Robert Shaw Chamber Singers, but I still love Eric Whitacre's music. Sure, its different, but it is amazing and heart-wrenchingly gorgeous. Just thought I'd point that out to all the traditional choral music lovers like me. :)
