I use this for leading singing at church. It's pretty straightforward and works consistently. The main difficulty I have with it is the volume wheel. I like to keep the volume at a subtle level so only I can hear it while standing in front of the congregation. The wheel is designed and positioned such that anything that touches it will dial the volume way up or mute it. This is no good. Simply slipping it into your pocket between songs can drastically change the volume. I believe a multi-level volume switch would be a more reliable solution. Additionally, I've had the thing turn on and crank out a tone in my pocket while I'm sitting in church. This is no good either. Maybe my keys pressed against it or an elbow, I don't remember. Either way, it's happened via normal sitting/repositioning of the legs or somesuch. Still, I prefer this over the unreliable and non-subtle pitch pipes of old.
